Work Control Maintenance Planner

<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong>Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Work Control Maintenance Planner to work in our Site Work Control department. Our team works a 4-10 schedule located out of Central Facilities with every Friday off. All work is performed onsite.<br><br>You will develop I&C and electrical work instructions that provide safe, workable instructions using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). You will report directly to the Site Work Control Manager.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities Include<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ensure written instructions comply with INL work control process, and with Training, ESH&Q, and other applicable regulatory requirements.</li><li>Be the contact for resolving work control issues from initiation to work completion.</li><li>Collaborate on work control documents with affected organizations. Provide input to engineering and research organizations based on experience of work control planning for facilities.</li><li>Perform walkdowns of job sites with appropriate SMEs to identify hazards and appropriate mitigations and incorporate into work control document.</li><li>Estimate labor hours and material costs to complete activities.</li><li>Collaborate with appropriate crafts, customers, and other subject matter experts in work planning activities to fully understand the hazards involved in performing work.</li><li>Represent the Facilities and Site Services organization on committees when requested by management.</li><li>Determine appropriate materials necessary to complete requested activities. Obtain assistance from Engineering for materials requiring engineering specification. Order required materials and track status to support work scheduling.</li><li>Identify and develop preventive maintenance procedures for assigned facilities. Comply with applicable internal documents and regulations.</li><li>Review completed work orders and resolve feedback. Work with Facility Managers and crafts to understand and apply recommended improvements. Make appropriate work control documents revisions.</li><li>Mentor other planners in areas of experience through the “On the Job Training” process of qualifying operators on equipment.</li><li>Complete and maintain qualification specified for assigned tasks.</li><li>Provide input to engineering and research organizations based on understanding of work control planning for REC facilities.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Minimum Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience, an advanced degree in a related field and 2 years of relevant experience, or 11 years of relevant experience in I&C and electrical work experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.</li><li>Experience operating and maintaining industrial mechanical systems.</li><li>Proficiency testing current protection devices.</li><li>Experience with electrical distribution systems and components.</li><li>This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Job Information<br><br></strong><ul><li>The pay range for this position is: ($66,504 - $136,356). At Idaho National Laboratory, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.</li><li>TDP - Testing Designated Position: You will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Physical Requirements<br><br></strong>While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, and work in an office and field/laboratory environment. The job requires hand/finger dexterity to keyboard or type, handle materials, manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms. The job requires the operation of job-related equipment and driving a vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Sufficient visual acuity and hearing capacity to perform the essential functions and interact with people is required.
